The FLD Experience
I chose this program for various reasons, firstly I was attracted to the idea of undertaking the Master’s completely in English while also being able to practice my French while living in one of France’s biggest cities. Lille was an optimal choice due to its proximity to other key European locations such as Brussels, London, Paris and Luxembourg. The program gave us the opportunity to work with renowned legal experts and to study under very experienced faculty members which provided a key degree of support throughout the academic year. The students of this Master’s were also able to participate within the European Moot Court Competition which further strengthened our legal pleading and writing skills. I will be continuing my academic progression at the Université Catholique de Lille with the M2 in Human Rights, Security and Development. I hope to finish the M2 with a strong legal base in International law and continue with my career working with NGOs, international organisation or legal consultancy firms.
