Congratulations to our graduates from the Issy-les-Moulineaux campus!

On Friday 24 May, the Issy-les-Moulineaux campus hosted the Masters graduation ceremony, a moment eagerly awaited and celebrated by the Faculty. The Simone Veil auditorium, a familiar venue for students, was the setting for their final stage as graduates of the Faculty of Law, Université Catholique de Lille.

André Santini, Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux, honoured the event with his presence, surrounded by several town hall representatives. He was accompanied by Jean-Marc Assié, Director of Development and Strategy at the Institut Catholique de Lille, Ioannis Panoussis, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Christophe Bellon, Vice-Dean in charge of the Issy-les-Moulineaux campus.

This festive day highlighted the Nelson Mandela graduating class. Ioannis Panoussis, Dean of the Faculty of Law, focused his speech on commitment and humanism. In his view, Nelson Mandela represents better than anyone these values that every lawyer must develop in his professional and personal life. This idea of Ubuntu, an inspiring vision of humanism, which, as the Dean recalled, has so many meanings and significances, such as respect, helpfulness, sharing, community, generosity, trust and selflessness.

Each graduate took to the stage to many applause, making their families and teaching staff proud. The class valedictorians were honoured with prizes offered by our partners, Le Furet du Nord and Dalloz.

The student associations also received their awards from Christophe Bellon. These awards celebrated the most promising, most committed and most innovative association, underlining the spirit of initiative and solidarity of our students.

Before the end of the ceremony, the graduates followed the tradition of throwing off their caps: a moment of collective jubilation. The evening continued with a convivial cocktail party on campus, where families, graduates, teachers and administrators enjoyed a drink in the sunshine that appeared for the occasion.

The ceremony lived up to all its promises, leaving our young graduates enriched with lasting memories and ready to fly off to new horizons.

Congratulations to all our graduates!
