Our students at Widener University – Delaware Law School
The Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille is strengthening its international dimension and its commitment to excellence in Law thanks to its prestigious partners.
Our Master 2 ‘DAC’ and Master 2 ‘DHSD’ students recently settled on the campus of our partner university, Widener University – Delaware Law School, in the United States, as part of an innovative double-diploma programme.
They were warmly welcomed by the academic team at Delaware Law School, and had the opportunity to discover a unique educational environment. As soon as they arrived, they explored the campus, took part in constructive discussions with their American counterparts and enthusiastically planned their semester.
This programme, launched in 2014 for Master 2 students in Business and Competition Law, and extended in 2018 to Master 2 students in Human Rights, Security and Development, offers them the opportunity to acquire a double-diploma from the Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille and an LL.M. from Widener University – Delaware Law School, also opening the doors to the American Bar and international career opportunities.
This experience is much more than an academic enrichment. Immersed in the American education system, our students deepen their skills while adapting to new and stimulating working methods.
Internationalisation is at the very heart of our faculty’s DNA. Thanks to our large network of partnerships, including the ERASMUS programme and bilateral agreements, our students can enjoy a unique experience in a range of destinations, including the United States, Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
This exchange at Delaware Law School illustrates our Law Faculty dedication to preparing its students for the challenges of an ever-changing world with a strong international perspective.
We wish our students a semester filled with learning and discovery, and are convinced that they will represent the values of excellence and openness that characterise our institution.
The Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille,
committed to international development and its students’ future.
