International week: To the future!

From Monday 10 to Friday 14 March 2025, the International Relations Department of the Université Catholique de Lille is organising its international week under the theme ‘To the future‘. This event will bring together 48 participants, made up of administrative and teaching staff from ERASMUS partner universities and establishments in countries such as Belgium, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Poland, the United Kingdom, Ghana, Cameroon, Georgia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, India and Lebanon.

The programme includes round-table discussions, Live Tree workshops, Service Learning, bilateral meetings and enriching exchanges.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to welcome two guests:

  • A colleague from the International Relations Department of Eötvös Loránd University – ELTE (Budapest, Hungary)
  • Mr Mirza Ljubović, Assistant Professor at the International University of Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), who will be giving a lecture in the Master 1 International and European Law / International and European Organisations course: ‘International Humanitarian Law’.

Professor Ljubović will also be giving two lectures on Tuesday 11 March:

  • 10 am – 12 noon in room RS477, during Mr Marco Odello’s lecture: ‘The concept of war and peace through the history of the development of international humanitarian law’;
  • 12 noon – 2 pm at C3RD: ‘The concept of the right to self-determination of people, with special reference to secession’.
