The Faculty of law of the Université Catholique de Lille is proud to announce the renewal of the partnership with Marcq Institution for 4 years!

A programme halfway between intensive preparatory classes and university.

What is the CPGE – D1 Prep course ?

Our student benefit from a real complémentarity between Marcq Institution and the Faculty of law of the Université Catholique de Lille.

This programmes enables students to develop a dual culture, both from the University and the preparation for entrance examinations.

Durant les deux années de prépa D1, les étudiants bénéficient d’un enseignement à la pointe, couvrant en essentiellement les domaines du juridique et des sciences économiques mais pas que car ils continuent à suivre des enseignements de langues, de sport, de mathématiques et de culture générale . Ils apprennent le raisonnement juridique à l’Université et une pédagogie adaptée aux exigences des concours au lycée, avec des écrits et des oraux, avec des DS et colles hebdomadaires par exemple.

Cette formation, exigeante, demande un rythme de travail intense mais confère de véritables compétences comme la rigueur, la capacité d’analyse, l’autonomie qui seront très utiles dans leur poursuites d’études.

Career opportunities

The D1 Prep course is a programme that focuses on the preparation for the entrance exam for the Law-Economics-Management department of the École Nationale Supérieure de Rennes (ENS), but also leads to several other selective courses.

The main career opportunities are as follows:

• École normale supérieure de Rennes (Law-Economics-Management department) : A training course of excellence. The ENS aims to train students for senior positions in the civil service, both nationally and internationally, as well as for research and teaching.
• The double degree FLD/EDHEC Business Law & Management
• University law magistrates : these highly selective courses are recruited on the basis of applications and an interview after a two years of bachelors.
• Business and Management Schools
• The 3rd year bachelors programme “Droit & Culture Juridique” at the Faculty of law of the Université Catholique de Lille for students having completed two years of undergraduate studies as part of the D1 Prep Course
• Instituts of Political sciences
• Communication and journalism schools

The wide range of career opportunities offered by Prépa D1 encourages students to cooperate and help each other during this programme, as their plans for further study are so varied.

Applications should be made on the Parcoursup platform for all french students or students following a french Baccalaureat abroad,
